| While the two colleges didn’t formally unite until 1940, the histories of Lewis and Armour Institutes complement, and sometimes reflect, each other. As early as 1899 the two schools met for athletic contests. Graphically, the 1921 Armour and 1922 Lewis yearbooks are barely distinguishable. Were the two schools looking over each other’s shoulders? Is imitation a sign of flattery? Or does the similarity just reflect the "state of the art" of yearbook design at that time? | ||
